Born on the Front Lines
MATUN was not conceived in a boardroom. It was born in the heart of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 — MATUN didn't start with grand plans; it was forged on the front lines of crisis, amidst the devastation of the COVID-19 pandemic.
While providing emergency relief in rural Bihar, Our Founder immersed himself in rural Bihar communities, witnessing firsthand the silent struggles: mothers denied basic healthcare, unable to access basic healthcare, girls forced to drop out of school, families battling preventable diseases, and a hidden epidemic of late-detected cancer among rural women due to stigma, lack of awareness, and distant facilities.,. In these villages, cancer is often a death sentence—not because it's incurable, but because of the "Silent Crisis"—the stigma, the lack of awareness, and the zero access to screening. MATUN was founded to break that silence.
What began as urgent humanitarian relief evolved into a powerful, sustainable mission: To build empowered, healthy, and self-reliant rural communities where every woman lives with dignity, health, and opportunity.
